Dr Jennifer Allen has been awarded a Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowship to research the origins of positive childhood experiences (PCEs) including child, family and neighbourhood influences, commencing September 2026. As part of this she will visit HumanKind to collaborate on a theoretical paper, a child development research centre at the University of Leipzig, Germany.


Dr Allen was given two awards from Springer Nature in May, 2025 for her achievements as Associate Editor on Research on Child and Adolescent Psychopathology:
The Springer Nature Editorial Contribution Award to recognise her meticulous assessment of submissions and rigorous management of the peer review process, safeguarding the scientific accuracy of the published record.
and
The Springer Nature Author Service Award recognises her exceptional service in improving the author experience and ensuring the peer review process is efficient, constructive and fair.
