International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development 2018 biennial meeting: How do teachers respond to child anxious behaviours?

I recently chaired a symposium on 'Contextual Factors in Child Anxiety' at the ISSBD conference at the Gold Coast, presenting Rebecca Lerman's and my research on variation in teacher responses to children's anxious behaviours as a function of teacher gender, child gender, type of anxiety (separation anxiety, generalized anxiety/worry, social anxiety) and teacher stress levels. 

 

My fellow symposium presenters included Cathy Creswell (University of Reading), Allison Waters (Griffith University) and Jordana Bayer (LaTrobe University), see pictured. It was fantastic to hear all about their very exciting and innovative work on childhood anxiety disorders!
